how to communicate two different Applications/pages assigned to one role/ws

Hi All,

I have developed two different wdj Applications and I have assigned those two pages to a single role and was able to access them through the portal.The first applications carries the URL of the second and upon clicking a button in the first application/page it calls the 2nd application/page in a new window.

My scenario is Can I transfer or pre load the 2nd application/page with some related data from 1st application/page or can I fill some of the fields of the 2nd application/page by extracting / copying from the first Application /page.
