HI Experts,
I am begineer of SAP BW.In my project work they have informed me to execute a query in SAP BW 3.X Version. So i went to analyser and executed it.Then i need to check all drill down options and Roll up or Roll out.
I have checked drill down .But I am aware of roll up in query analyser.
Can you please inform me about this.
hema,
A drill up is also known as a roll up.
Remove some characteristics from the query by drilling up this would be a rollup.
Also if you are using hierarchies - then collapsing nodes in the query would be a roll up.

when you drill down you add an additional level of detail to the report.
When you roll up you take out that detail.
For instance you have organization information in rows in your report.
If you add employee to drill down you will see info for each employee separately.
When you click on the employee characteristic and say remove drilldown that is a roll up.
In 7.0 just select employee and drag it out of the table.
Roll up is just the opposite of drill down.
This is same as collapsing vs. expanding.
