File->IDoc scenario: EOIO does not work?

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing a problemin something which according to XI manuals should work. I need to ensure files are being processed in order based on their filename and idocs should appear in R/3 in the same order. File:Idoc = 1:1 . I've set up EOIO in file sender adapter and file processing is based on a filename. In interface determination I have "Maintain Order in Runtime" checked. So this hould work..

Files are processed correctly based on a filename, I can see it on the timestamp added to archived files, by the idocs are not in the same order.

Is there any bug? Or did I overlook some setting?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter

Did you select check box "Queue Processing" in IDoc reveiver communication channel?

I think this parameter will populate a field in IDoc control header.

Thanks

Sai

EOIO for IDocs work only for 6.40 backend systems. You have to set EOIO attribute in IDoc receiver channel as well.

Hi,

I think no need to do any settings, why because it was following FIFO mechanism. Based on source input idoc will be triggered automatically. Remove EOIO setup at source adapter and check it.
