Warning message "PS project XXX for the project XXX is currently locked"

Hello,

In cProjects 4.5, we get very often the following error message: "PS project XXX for the project XXX is currently locked". But there is no help at all regarding this message.

Does anyone know what does it mean, and how to get rid of it?

Hi Mathaias,

This problem may be caused due to two reasons.

1. The project is being edited by two different users at the same time.

2. Due to improper logging off of the portal when having a project open. (Please check for any issues with network connectivity)

Go to the transaction SM12 then give the client number.

give the user name of the person who has locked the project. then click list. Click on the locked item and select the 'lock entry' menu and give delete all. changes get reflected immediately.

Thanks everyone. Actually it was a bit more tricky: two background tasks were launched at the same time to update the project. We managed to delay both, and now it's solved.

To check the current locked objects and to unlock them you can use transaction SM12.
