Hi
Sm12 will show you all the locks which are currently active in the system.
Updates can be V1 and V2 updates(criitical and non-critical one's)
While update fail will happen it will recorded in SM13 transactions. All the update errors can be shown in this.
Update error state can be init or err. There might be many reasons for update failing like program termination, records not processed completely etc.
Tables which are related to updates are:
VBHDR, VBMOD, VBDATA and VBERROR.
VBDATA contains failed updates.
Hope this helps!!

Hi barkath,
1) VBDATA table will contain the information about failed updates.
2) In sm12 if you will refresh the list then only active lock entries will show.

Hi Mohammed Barkath Ullah,
Update error information will be stored in VBERROR table.
Regarding the lock, place the crusher on the lock and select details or press function key F2 you will get all details like which work processer holding the lock check the respective work processer is active or not if not we can judge the lock is invalid.
Regards.
