MDX Dimension Formulas and SQL Server 2005

Hi!
The document "How To Use MDX Dimension Formulas says:
'When using SQL 2005 the use of MDX is not recommended. Using MDX can result in significant loss of performance. An SP scheduled to be released from Microsoft may increase performance but this has not been tested.'
Do anyone know if this SP has been released from Microsoft and if it works? Or is there anyone having experience of using MDX Dimension Formulas and SQL 2005?

My understanding is that this will be fixed in the next version of SQL. My experience has been that MDX formulas are ok in small doses particularly when there is only a single hierarchy in the account dimension.
