Requested delivery date of the document.

Hello,

I have two doubts regarding Requested delivery date of the document.

1] When creating a new sales order system is showing request delivery dates in header level and also in item level before entering the sold to party and material. What is the importance of this dates as this is not material availability date proposed by the system.

2 ] For the Req Del date in VOV8 i have set 7 days for the Lead time in days.When i am creating a Sales order today i.e 06 sept,the the system should add todays date and 7 days and should show 12th sept in my Sales header Req del date , But system is showing some different date i,e 16 the sept. where this date comes from?

Hi

As you have mentioned in your second question, the Requested delivery date is determined based on the lead time specified in the definition fo the sales document type in VOV8.

Regarding the determination of requested delivery date as 16th sept...if you check the calendar, 6th,7th,13th and 14th are holidays and hence if you calculate the remaining days it comes to seven days only.
