Uninstall ERP Components that we do not need it!

Hi Gurus!

We have implemented the ERP 2005 ECC 6.0 Basic Core functions on first phase. On the second phase, right now we are Implementing an Industry Solution (Campus Management - IS-PS-CA) .

Why we have installed many unnecessary componets by default?.

This imply that every time when we have to update Support Packages for

our IS-PS-CA, we have to update many other unnecessary components for

this solutions. How I can solve this issue?.

Does it the default installation component to ERP 2005 and SAP ERP 6.0

all these components?

Why we have installed unnecessary components like IS-UT, IS-OIL, EA-

RETAIL, etc?

Could you give us a wide explanation and the technical reasons for

this?

Could I uninstall these IS-XX (unnecessary) components like IS-UT, IS-

OIL, etc?

How can I uninstall these unnecessary components?

We are really interested in get the reasons to justified the long time

to ours maintenance windows.

Hi,

As per your query, in SAP some module are standard for every one which is not ignorable. If you need selected pls specify here whih is required for you. We will see and get bakc to you if this can be possible.

Hi

During the selection phase, you must have included all these add-ons by mistake that's why you are getting all this.

If you are not going to use and now, just after finishing the implementation you would like to uninstall/remove those components.

SAP Strongly discourages the customers to uninstall any kind of add-ons. There is not easy way to remove add-ons completely. Even you can manage to do uninstallation, system won't be the same as before the add-on was installed before.

This is due to the fact the add-on changes kernel components.

Keep these Addons in your system will not effect you something if you do not use it.
