Hi
What is Initialized value and for what purpose we can use it in BCS?
regards,
Pawel
Thanks Dan for replay
1. Yes You're right that it's connected with BDC but I think that the message depands on BDC type ex "Optional-Initialized value allowed" and in that case what does it mean? Initialized=empty?
2. In addition initialized value also occures durring customizing of validation - it's possible use Initialized value as characteristic value - but I don't know what it does.
regards,
Pawel

I've mostly seen this term in relation to breakdown categories. When the subassignment is not included in the breakdonw category for an item, but a value is provided in the source data, the system passes the message that the initialized value (blank) is used/stored.
