Dear All,
Can we design applications for Local languages like (Telugu,Tamil ,marathi ) using
Internationalization Concept in Webdynpro for java.
pls anybody suggest me in clarifiying the issue.

Hi subash nalivela,
Actually as the concept of internalization this is true and can be done by editing the .xlf files for corresponding languages.
But For the Languages like Tamil, Telugu, Marathi you need to have fonts recognizble by the portal and NWDS where we edit our .xlf files and one more thing is that portal is not Supporting these Regional Languages. so Practically it is not Possible.

i think it wont work..if u r doin internationalization using web dynpro. as we make changes in .xlf files wid corresponding international language name..like[zn-ch] for china..
when we select that languae in intenet options..it tries to identify it..
i think it wont find any option for marathi..so it shudnt work...

Technically Yes, but practically will not be of much use as long as the portal doesnt support all this languages.
