Hi,

i have installed SAP NW 2004s ABAP as a testsystem. Now i want to install and configure Documentum Content Services for SAP.

Configuration of ArchiveLink and SAP DMS are prerequisites for this installation.

Are ArchiveLink and SAP DMS part of the SAP NW 2004s ABAP installation?

Where can i find configuration guide for these components?

with kind regards

Frank

Hi Frank,

on my installation I have ArchiveLink but not SAP DMS (if you mean the document management system for PLM).

What you have is the document infrastructure component SAP Knowledge Provider which contains of the Content Management API the Document Management API (different from SAP DMS) and the connection for content management systems based on ArchiveLink. Therefore, use OAC0 to customize the connection. I customized a database repository and it worked fine.

Hi Frank:

DMS is part of NetWeaver platform; and also ArchiveLink interface. If you need additional information and also installation and configuration guides; for instance, to install SAP Content Server to handle the document storage and forward you can go to:

https://service.sap.com/archivelink

You will find all information you need!

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I am trying to connect to https://service.sap.com/archivelink as per your suggestion - but evidently my SDN credentials are insufficient...or am I doing something else wrong?

you have to use OSS credentials and not SDN credentials.
