It depends where u need to call the new BTE: if you need it in a standard program u should change it in order to insert the calling of the new BTE (so I doesn't make a sense to create the new one), if you need to insert it a custom program perhaps can make sense.
U need to insert your new event for BTE by view V_TBE02 for a event and V_TPS02 for a process
