Hey all,

i have a simple question concerning the .net connector,

but i didn't find a clear answer about it...maybe i just didn't see it...but anyway...here's the question.

Do i have to make an installation/change on the machine where the sap bw system is installed or is it enough to install the .net connector on my laptop where i have installed the visual studio for the gui development?

And does it matter which operating system the sap bw system is installed on( win/linux)?

thx in advance for your answers

Hi Mathias,

if you want to use the SAP connector for Microsoft .NET you don't have to change anything at the SAP System being called.

It does also make no difference whether the system being called runs on UNIX or Windows.

Before starting with an implementation with the SAP connector for Microsoft .NET you should check

[SAP Note 943349 SAP Connector for MS .NET (NCO) and VS 2005|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_op/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d393433333439%7d]

Best regards,

Andre

Hi Mathias,

You are right. You don't need to make any change on your SAP BW system. Install the NCO and JAVA VM on your laptop and that is it.

Also different OS is not an issue.
