Sender mail adapter

Hi,

I have a scenario that uses a sender mail adapter.

The protocol used for reading the mails POP3.

After the mail is read from the mailbox, is it deleted immediately?

Is this dependent on the protocol POP3 or IMAP4?

Please Help.

Regards,

Vignesh

I am sorry, I was wrong.

POP3 picks the messages from the server.

see note 856599 question 5.

My problem is not between choosing IMAP4 or POP3.

I am interested to know about when the mail wil get deleted after it is read, if i use pop3 protocol.

Does the mail get deleted immediately after it is read?

Hi Vignesh,

This link from sap help states that the delete parameter can be set for imap4 protocol.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/23/c093409c663228e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

What does your requirement say? you can give it a try using imap4.
