Storage Loc and Plant

Hi Sap Gurus,

1. One storage location which is already assigned to one plant , can it be assigned to another plant??

2.I have material A in under Plant 1 and storage A1 want to sell that same material A from Plant 2, how that could be done

Hi Sid,

Tilll 4.6C we have option of multiple storae location can be assigned to one plant. But from 4.7 onwards and ECC we CAN NOT assign one storage location to many plant.

But Same name of storage location can be maintained in plants. And you can give the same address.

for example Say Plant ZRPL has Storage location ZSL,Hyderabad,

So you can also make Stotrage location with the same name ZSL, in different plant ZPL,

but remember these two will be different entity.

Hello,

You may assign the same storage location to another plant. As you know when you create a storage location, system will ask for plant. The same storage location can be assigned to another plant also, but when you are maintinning it will not copy the storage location name, you need to maintain it.

You can have any number of SLoc in one plant but not vice versa. The relationship between these is many to one.

Same storage location can be present in multiple plants.

Material present in one plant has to be extended to another plant using MM01 in order to sell the same material from that plant.
