Dear All,

can anyone guide me that how to upgrade from 2005 A Patch level to 2007 A. Is there any documentation available or is it as simple as upgrading a patch level.

Dear,

you can find the upgrade guide according to the link below

https://service.sap.com/smb/knowledge->SAP Business One Channel Partner, please visit the Documentation Resource Center, you can download "Administrator's Guides 2007 A: DB2, SQL "

under 2007A .

The newest 2007A patch level is PL41 until now. For upgrading from 2005A to 2007A, it is highly recommended that please fist upgrade to 2007A PL30 before upgrade to the latest patch.

Wish the information above could solve your issue.

Thanks & Regards

Hi there,

There have been 3 recordings done in the last 2 months that will guide you through the process.

The sessions will advise you of the tips & tricks & how to avoid problems.

The 3rd recording is an SAP experd actually upgrading to 2007A.

These sessions are available from your Partner Services Advisor.

Hi,

It is not difficult. In Server IBM X3500, it is only taken 15 minutes. This is installation time of SAP B1 2007A but excluded uninstallation of previous version.

The installation process is similar with SAP B1 2005A except there is a B1IP. For this new one, you could skip it when installing the application server.

The installation steps are server application, server tools and client.

Server application will include addon, B1IP (could be skipped), Demo, help and Common dbase.

After finishing installation, you could restore the company database, login to SAP B1 to have an automatic database upgrade.
