REMOTE ACCESS DOES NOT SHOW SOME IVIEWS

Hi All,

I have installed SAP Enterprise portal server on a machine with the following configuration.

Intel P4

2.4 GHz

1 GB RAM

40 GB Hdd.

Kernel Memmory(k)

Total is 62960

paged is 44740

nonpaged 18256

Now when i remotely access it from another machine by using the url http://9.182.236.203:50000/irj/portal

in Content Administration,Portal Content in the Browse tab nothing comes i.e <u><b>that complete iview is never displayed.</b></u>

On the left hand corner of the screen there is an icon stating <u><b>'error on page'</b></u>. This problem is not only with this iview only but many other iviews such as in System Administration etc,.While trying to open that particular iview, there is a wheel that keeps on spinning and a label called as <u><b>'undefined'</b></u> in dispalyed, after a while nothing is displayed.

From what i gather i think it is a memmory problem. Any suggesstions?

Regards

Bhardwaj

Hi,

Try to add your portal to a list of trusted systems/websites in IE settings of the remote system and check. my guess is that these are some steps we need to do after the installation of a portal.

Hi Mahesh,

Thanx for ur reply. If i want to add my portal to a list of trusted systems/websites,i can add it only if it supports http(s) protocol and since my portal is on http,i cannot add it in my trusted sites list.

I tried doing it, it doesnt work. Any suggestions.

Hi Bhardwaj,

the problem is probably that you are using the IP address instead of the full qualified domain name. This is not supported by the portal.

See /thread/45765 [original link is broken] for details.

Hope it helps
