What version of XI am I on???

Former Member

Hi All,

A very basic question.

All I am trying to find out is if I am on XI2.0 or XI3.0 or something else

I checked the IR>Help>Information-->Version and below mentioned text came up. I can understand that we are on SP14. So does release 645_VAL_REL mean we are on XI 6.45???

( I thought XI was only 2.0 or 3.0)

Version
Service pack:
14
Release:
645_VAL_REL

I also tried

http://server:port/index.html (System info)

but that also didnt tell me much about what I am looking for.

Regards

Shirin

Hi,

you could look at the ABAP stack under System -> Status...

or in the SLD.

NW2004 is XI 3.0 and NW2004s is PI 7.0/1.

Thanks Patrick.

On ABAP stack I see the installed component as ECC6 on NW2004s. So guess its PI 7.0.

So another question would be, how do I verify that NW2004s means PI 7.0 and not PI 8.0. I mean it must be somewhere in SAP website / documentation from where we will know that NW2004s is PI 7.0 etc.

( I am not trying to downplay your answer, but just trying to make sure that I do not come with a similar question in forum again when I am on a new project/XI system

Many Thanks

Shirin

NW2004s in PI7.0 and NW2004 is XI 3.0 and there is no product as PI 8.0.

The latest release of PI is PI 7.1.

You can view the information release from this link http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/netweaver/index.htm

Thanks

This one is easy as PI 8.0 is not existing at the moment

I am not sure if their exist a document for this relationship (as longer as you work with this systems you will know).

To know NW2004 is XI 3.0 and NW2004s is PI 7.0 is a very good starting point.

You can also look in the SLD for the technical system representing the PI. If you go there to installed products you see the version.
