Is there any limitation or setting about the maximum length of data?

In DeskI, one cell can only display 333 Chinese Characters (or 1000 English Characters), but WebI can display more using same DB connection/same universe.

So is it the limitation of DeskI?

Whatu2019s the maximum length for one cell in DeskI?

Is there any special setting in DeskI about the maximum length?

Hi,

Check the Universe Parameters in Designer under the Controls tab if the "Limit size of long text objects to:" has been checked or set to any limitation.

Not sure if this is the actual solution, but give it a try.

Thanks a lot....Now DeskI can show more with the setting in Universe.

But why WebI can show the long text without the limitation, it's still strange for me because some day in future, customer want to control the length of long text, our product can't...maybe it will become a bug again.

This universe setting was built for Deski.. and then came Webi and it was not built into the application... it's a legacy thing.
