Hi All,
Can PS be used for Opex project? Normally i use it for capex project using Investment management.
Please advice.
If it can be used ...how can we put the opex budget ?
Cheers,
nies
No constraints from system if you wish to use PS for Opex Projects.
If it's a real project (refer definition of project) you can capture the Operational Expense using WBS's (projects) otherwise you use cost centre or internal orders as cost objects.
Budgeting would be possible if you use WBS or IO but not cost centre.

You can also try using budget categories in investment management to capture both capex and opex for the same WBS

Hi Nies,
If your customer is a manufacturing/process industry you can use the Investment management to hold OPEX budget and distribute to WBS which contains service orders, maintenance orders attached.
If your customer is public sector then you can use budgeting functionality from Funds Managment (BCS).
