Enhancement Package on ECC 6.0 for using ESR on

What is the Enhancement Package(if any) to be applied to ECC 6.0 to enable the usage of ESR on it?

Hi Puja:

I believe you are confusing terms.

One one side you need to installed ESA-ECC-ES Add-on which is contained on all the enhancement package. Install last available one as SAP is launching a lot of new updates.

On the other side, you install ESR whether on PI or on a CE instance, please review available documentation to get more insight of which is best option. Then, you publish EServices and you install XI Content for ESA-ECC-ES from SAP Marketplace on the ESR.

It is basically on big line a summary of the steps.Unfortunately, I cannot refer you to a documention which explain cover all topic. Try to review SDN documentation.

Thanks for the information.

Installation of ESR will give me the definition of the services. Will the installation of ESA-ESS-ES Add-on provide me with the implemented services and the runtime needed to run them too?

Here are the steps to add the Enhancement package to your landscape:

1. Download the service metadata (definition) from SAP Service Marketplace.

2. Import it into the Enterprise Services Repository.

3. Download the service implementation (Add-on) from the SAP Service Marketplace.

4. Import it into your ABAP backend system.

5. Configure the service in your backend.

6. Publish it in the Services Registry.
