wrong data shown when enter PO for searching

Hi,

When I am searching for sales order using particular PO number, system showing wrong sales order i.e, even those sales orders without that PO no. Eg. when I enter my PO no. 22345, for getting corresponding sales orders, system showing me sales orders with PO nos. 22346, 22347 also.

Why is this happening and how to correct this .....?

Hello,

It should not happen if you are using the transaction VA05, as it is SAP standard.

I checked with the issue, and I found that the PO no. entered in Item>PO Data for the other two orders was same as in the first one.....whereas the PO no. in header PO was different... That was the problem.
