Hi all,

i try to upload new WBS elements to an old project and the status of the superior WBS element for the new WBS elements has the systen status "Released,Settlement rule created" and when saving the system trigers an error message which is:

*_Enter a distribution rule for G/L account without a validity limit*_

**Message no. KD059**

Diagnosis

The settlement profile used requires you to define a distribution rule for G/L account. For period 009 2008, however, you have not created a distribution rule for G/L account.

Procedure

Create a distribution rule for G/L account without a validity limit, because, if the distribution rule does have a validity limit, the system always issues this message in the period following the last valid period.

You can also use a different settlement profile that does not require such a distribution rule, or change the settlement rule used

how can i create a distribution rule for G/L account without a validity limit???????

Try changing the settings of settlement profile.

Under Valid Receivers G/L account you might have set it to 'Settlement required', change it to 'Settlement Optional'.
