Hi!

First, more correct to say that the role staffed with a resource rather than a Business Partner (BP). But in fact, such object "resource" in the system does not. Resource is a business partner with the role of "employee". Resource/BP kept such information as name, address, financial information and many other.

If you are using WFD (Workforce management) cProjects interested also in the availability, skills, job function, and service area of the resource.

May be this link may help you: [Project Resource Planning|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ppm450/helpdata/en/e8/00c73c52aacf5be10000000a114084/frameset.htm].

BP in general.

BPs are any parties in which your company has a business interest.

By the way BPs can reflect the different roles they play, not only employee, but much more.

More information about Business Partners you can find here [SAP Library->SAP CRM->Components and Functions->Master data->Business Partner|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/4d/cff837a9aae651e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm].

Functions of BPs:

- Address and Communication DataAddress and Communication Data

- Bank and Tax DataBank and Tax Data

- Classification and Marketing DataClassification and Marketing Data

- Business Hours and Business AppointmentsBusiness Hours and Business Appointments

- Sales Area DataSales Area Data

- Status and Life Cycle DataStatus and Life Cycle Data

-Additional DataAdditional Data

- Business Partner Data in Service Parts ManagementBusiness Partner Data in Service Parts Management

- Time DependencyTime Dependency

and many other...

One thing. If you are interested in exactly business partner, the better will turn into the forum [SAP CRM|/community [original link is broken];.

Hi!

I think it would be better if you read the topic (pay attention to step 2) [Rules of Engagement|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/home/rulesofEngagement]. And after that rephrase the question.

I apologize if I do not understand well
