Hi,

The technical objects that are linked to other technical objects, are referred to as "nodes". You can create a list of these nodes within an object network. This list enables you to call up the master data of the linked objects, as well as data from, for example, the assigned maintenance notifications and maintenance plans.

The system only supports the list form and not graphics when evaluating linked and linking objects.

Displaying Object links:

Choose Logistics --->Plant maintenance ---> Technical objects.

You reach the Technical Objects screen.

Then choose either FunctLocation -> Object link-> Display or

Equipment ---> Object link -

> Display.

The screen Display Object Link: Initial is displayed.

Enter the number of the object link.

If you do not know the number of the object link that you want to process, you can use a selection function. This function is described in Selection of Object Links.

Choose Continue.

The screen Display Object Link: <Technical object> is displayed. Here you can see all current object link data.

You can call up the following data from this screen:

1)The administrative information, telling you who created the master record, who last changed it and when

2)The previous automatically created change documents, documenting which changes have previously been made in the master record (see Calling up Change Documents).

Hope This will help you

Hello,

Object Link: Linking of two technical objects through a third technical object.

An object link may only consist of objects belonging to the same object category, that is, a piece of equipment can only be linked with another piece of equipment and a functional location with another functional location.

If the object that forms the connection is managed in the system as a piece of equipment or a functional location, then two pieces of equipment can only be linked by a piece of equipment and two functional locations by a functional location.

Using object links you can build object networks and structure your technical systems horizontally. This enables you to represent and evaluate dependencies between various objects.

Just to add on with Prasanth as he forget to copy the standard example of object link which I would like to add here

Example

Pylons are linked by electric cables as a network. The pylons and cables are represented in the system as pieces of equipment. All the pylons and cables that are linked form the network "Electricity network." Some of the linked pylons and cables are divided into areas that are sub-networks of the network.

Sri,

Just one more point to add..

Object links are totally independent of the FLoc/Equipment structure.

Dear,

Object link is identified by Object link no. It can be alphanumeric also.

Rule: object link will be only from equipment to equipment or FLOC to FLOC. It can't be cross link between technical objects.

Eg. A pipe line from one place to another

A cable from one equipment to another equipment

Now this pipleline or cable will be from one FLOC to another FLOc or from one equipment to another equipment.

I hope this will clear your concept.

hi

it is used to represent the link between the technical objects .ie for example if you are pumping liquid between one F/L to another you create a link between these functional location ,you can display it in graphical viewer .
