Hello
I need to set up a background image for all users to differentiate the database and companies they are working on.
The manual process (as explained in a previous post) is impossible to manage and is not a solution for us.
I have tried to update OUSR.wallpaper and OUSR.wllpprdsp but it doesn't seem to be taken into account.
Has anyone traced which field is also required ? I suppose that there is another background link to another table.
Thanks for your help

Two questions on your answer :
- why will it be not supported by SAP ? It is an important feature for us, customers, and I am not the only customer asking for this. Is it a final answer ? Does this mean it is not in the present roadmap ? If no when will it be ?
- if it is not supported by SAP, has anyone else developped it as an admin add-on and if yes, how much does it cost ?
You are not the first in the forum to give this dead-end answer "SAP will not build it". It is frustrating for us, customers, because our business is at stake with SAP. And either for bin management (large gap in the solution), for serial numbers (large issues in the screen if you want to use them), for authorisation profiling and profile comparison, we have the same answers "SAP will not do it".
Why is this otherwise seemingly stupid function important for us ? and why insisting ?
- we are going live with three database for our three companies. We need separate databases for confidentiality issues.
- all our admin staff will be working on all three databases.
- we have one commun test / training database which has to be identified to avoid data entry in it.
- we have sixty users including twenty support.
- users will have no access to general settings for security issues
=> doing this manually every time is going to cost us two to three days of work to get everyone with the correct information on every database. All this to push the same information to all users.
=> We do not have three extra days of work available to us or I would rather spend that money in training instead
Please, I need some help
Fabrice
PS : alternatively if you have options on bin management with bulk serial numbers or authorisation profiling and comparing, that would make my day as well
PS 2 : above sentence and whole message are both not a joke. go-live has been pushed back now for 3 months because of those issues.

Fabrice,
I am sorry that I made you upset. Please bear with me for my explanation:
1. First of all, when I say "That will not be supported by SAP" I mean if you update B1 table directly then you may lose SAP support.
2. As for you question "anyone else developed it as an admin add-on and if yes, how much does it cost", I am not sure there is any not even mention the cost.
3. I never said "SAP will not build it". I am sure SAP will build it as long as there are enough user demands.
BTW, if you have 20 supports for 60 users, it sound too luxury to me. I myself supports two databases for about 40 users.
Thanks,
Gordon
Hi Fabrice,
Manual process for setting up background image for all users is necessary since there is not interface allow you to update this field in the user table other than updating the table by SQL directly.
That will not be supported by SAP.
Check this thread which you may browse already:
Thanks,
Gordon

OUSR.wallpaper and OUSR.wllpprdsp are the correct fields. you can try first to add the image manually as Suda suggested and then duplicate it to all users.
Also make sure the path to the image is available to all users.
