Difference between SXI_Cache and CPA Cache

Hi All,

According to my understanding:

Objects (Int Rep (Java Stack) and Int Dir (Java Stack))are activated and are put in Sxi_Cache(Abap Stack)

as they are required by IE (Abap Stack) for processing.

It works on Abap stack.

CPA Cache --

Works on Adapters Engine of Integation Directory.

It works on Java stack

I have one question:

1. If in SXI_Cache Int Dir objects (Java Stack)are activated

and are put in Sxi_Cache(Abap Stack) then why we require

CPA Cache as it also contains objects of Int Dir?

Please let me know does CPA Cache is updated when we

create and activate the IR objects ?

What does Patrick mean by -- CPA cache is runtime cache

for Adapter Engine.

As i mentioned in my previous reply, the caches are meant to be used at runtime. So CPACache is used. But it is not "called" as a runtime cache. Bcoz is nt updated at runtime, but it is updated at the config time and used at runtime. Sxi_cache is updates at runtime and therefore called a runtime cache.

Hope to clear all the doubts by now
