Hi All,
I have deployed the BP like SAPPCUIGP13_0-20001215 and BPERP5ESS12_0-10003288 and while deploying SAPESS13_0-20000512 I faced the problem at 100% like tc_sl.ut.content.erp.xss.ear could not be deployed. So thought let it be thats the only component ( which might not be in use). So gone ahead with creating the Jco for Selfservice and HR. But when I logged in now to portal--> ESS I get the following message.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: ComponentUsage(FPMConfigurationUsage): Active component must exist when getting interface controller. (Hint: Have you forgotten to create it with createComponent()? Should the lifecycle control of the component usage be "createOnDemand"?

at com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.wd.FPMComponent$FPM.changeToExceptionPerspective(FPMComponent.java:862)
... 60 more
Any suggestion???
I think for all the life cycle related error is because of some RFC not assigned to him in sapgui or no permissions

Check whether all the webdynpro application are running or not. If so you need to start all the ESS webdynpro applications manually or you can do from Visual administrator.
Also check the SLD in solution manager.

Hi Vijay,
I have already done with the Template installer in nwa??
Also would like to tell you that whenever I login to nwa, I could see the message
System Landscape Directory is not accessible
Only local system can be administered
I have done everything from SLD side and NWA??
Is there anything I am missing?
I had exactly the same issue, and it was due to the SLD connection not working anymore. Try this: go to visual administrator->server0->services->SLD data supplier. If you see an error in the "Send Result" field, that means that the connection to SLD is not working anymore. You can try clicking on the blue arrow on top - this will force the SAP Portal to connect to SLD. Let me know the result and I can guide you from there.
