Retry Interval for File Adapter

Hi All,

In my sender file adapter the polling interval is 120 sec.The retry interval is space(Help says if nothing is put in retry interval it takes the same value as in the polling interval).

But for the first poll if an error occurs my adapter polls immediately in 10-15 seconds.Shouldnt it poll after 120 secs?

Why is this happening?Is this the way retry interval works?

We have a similar issue, apart from we have many file adapters. This is filling up a server with "logging information".

Are they set to permanent conenction of per file transfer?

I have had to "deactive" the adapter when it is not being used.

Hi Barry,

In our case we are using Per file transfer.

Any clue why it polls before 2 minutes.If there is any error in the first poll does it poll befor the alloted retry interval?

I am having the same problem.

I've made changes, reactivated and cleared the cache, but it is still polling several times a second.

It's very frustrating. Espcially not knowing why.

I will update your post if I can resolve the issue.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but it appears we are in the same boat, so to speak, without a paddle.....
