JCO.Server could not create server function 'Z_XI_TEST'

Hi,

I got this error message after trying to start a Report in R/3 and call of function module Z_XI_TEST destination XI_RFC_SERVER.

XI Scenario is RFC Inbound Adapter, that means I configured the RFC Adapter (green light) and configured in R/3 via sm59 an RFC Destination XI_RFC_SERVER with registered server program Rfc2XmbService. Test connection successful.

I also set in the CLASSPATH of the engine the path (including files) to servlet.jar and sapjco.jar.

Does anybody can help me what I forgot to configure.

Thanks in advance.

Holger

Is FM enabled for Remote call?

you can also check to run simple Java program out of box to check whether everything is fine (connection etc).

Also try to execute Rfc2XmbService on OS level to check if everything is fine.

Hello,

We are having the same issue but with other connectors (not XI), we are solving it, and it seems a password issue in our connector.

We are calling a Remote Function (RFC) in other system called Business Conector (the remote function call is being done from BW).

The remote function seems to try access BW with an incorrect password.

We will keep you informed.

Hi,

Our solution:

The password in BW was set in lowercases (for the user which tried to connect from BC to BW).

We changed the password for this user to UPPERCASES and it works now.
