Hi all,

How can we see ware house stock by product hierarchy,

means we just put hierarchy name or top level material in selection & it will give present ware house stock up to bottom level.

& what is other benefits of product hierarchy.

Hi,

Likewise you can see stocks in MMBE plant & location wise, you cannot have stocks Product hierarchy wise with standard transactions.

For this you might need to develop a report / z transaction with the help of MM person & ABAPer.

Regarding product hierarchy:

The benefit of product hierarchy is two fold.

1) you can use it for master record maintainence: EG: your company is selling vehicles

so you define hierarchy as:

VEH

VEH - HCV

VEH - LCV

VEH - HCV - PETROL

VEH - HCV - DIESEL

so you can use these feilds for pricing record maintainence in stead fo maintaining it at material level.

Few records will take care of your requirement

2) Product hierarchy is very usefull in reporting purpose. Suppose you want a break up sales report. you can use above fields to know total vehicle sales, diesel vehicle sales, only HCV sales etc.

Thanks for reply yes i also hope that there is none standard report which gives stock with product hierarchy, i also not get product hierarchy in selection if i make evalution report in flexible analysis.

is standard system having any report based on product hierarchy not only for stock in any field like sales or price.

Hi,

Yes you are very much right that standard reports might not be available with product hierarchy.

But you can very well develop them, wherein you can have product hierarchy as selection parametes.

I again say its very easy & what product offers for analysis is really extraordinary.
