DSO Activation fails with error RSS2_DTP_RNR_SUBSEQ_PROC_SET in RSSTATMAN

Hi Friends,

We are working in BI 7.0 SP 15 , activating a DSO request with two million records in 20 million record DSO. The errors are:

09/01/2008 08:43:53 Request 134392 is already being processed RSBK 205

09/01/2008 08:43:53 Termination in problem report 'RSS2_DTP_RNR_SUBSEQ_PROC_SET' in row ' 244' RSSTATMAN 102

09/01/2008 08:43:53 Errors occured when carrying out activation RSMPC 151

09/01/2008 08:43:53 Analyze errors and activate again, if necessary RSMPC 152

Can you help me interpret this error?

Hi

Normally the activation of ODS/DSO of that size takes a while.

If there is other DSOs to be activated or activating in parellel, then there might be locks at database table level which might cause errors.

It is best to do the activation when no other DSO activation is running.

Also, schedule this activation when BI server is a not used a lot.

For example, mid nights or at worst, weekend midnights.

For me, this worked when I was activating a DSO for around 5mil records.

Hi Gang,

After deeper analysis, it appears that the second request load was started after the activation job had activated all data, but before if reached "End of Job" The status of activations was green (updated by the job), but the activation batch job was not finished.

I'm facing same issue.

Jod for activation of DSO gets cancelled with this log:

I tried to chang DSO runtime parameters in RSODSO_SETTINGS, but still gets cancelled.

Any one can help please?

Hi,

Check the request 134392 in your DSO or in PSA. Check if the loading of that request or activation of it is already successful.
