Hi,
We have configured SMTP in SAP and emails are working fine. Sometimes the email fails due to a Exchange connector problem or any other issues.
We have a monitoring check in the morning, if it failes we resolve the same.
Does any one can give a best idea of how to monitor this emails throughout the day(not the manual monitoring we can do manual monitoring but cannot be done every one hr)
Please suggest a best way to monitor the emails (is there is any option we can set if the emails fail, so that basis team can be known.
thanks,
anuroop
Hi Anuroop,
I can think of couple of options to setup alerts for emails, you can use SAP provided CCMS monitor and create a notification method to send you alerts by setting up the required thresholds in
CCMS (RZ20) -> Communications -> SAPConnect -> Fax and Email
Or schedule a periodic job that sends out an email to the monitoring team, if they do not receive the email, they can start troubleshooting.
Cheers,
Nisch

Hi!
Well the question is how can the Basis team be notified if there is no email ? ..perhaps you can add a SMS gateway to SAPconnect. How do you currently manually fix the problem ? ..is there anyway this manual method can be automated ?
