Hi Pramod,

Is there a reason why they have been setup this way? Are these systems remotely located from eachother and have high network delays? If yes, then you can setup transport groups and be able to connect them to eachother in STMS.

Dear,

yes both system are not in same network.

PRD is based at DATABASE centre and DEV is in local network.

I think you may be confusing terminology.

Network domain and SAP domain are different terms. As long as both systems can ping each other, you can have them both in the same SAP domain, regardless of where they reside in your network.

The transport "Domain Controller" is simply the system that manages the change requests, It does not have to be (and indeed should not be) a Windows Domain Controller.

Hi,

you mean to say that both system belongs to local domain and no transport route is configured between these systems.

one query :- what do you mean by Both system are in different network?

Hi,

dev is in different windows domain and prd is in different windows domain.

dev ip address is in 10.13.14.0 nework while prd ip address is in 10.1.2.0 network.

both system work like a stand alone SAP domain.

both system not in a transport domain.

For any query/clarification kindly revert.

Hi,

first of all make sure that ping is working from both system vice a versa. otherwise STMS is not working.

check your network setting with network administrator.

if ping is working then you can ADD PRD system in DEV domain controller easily.

proceed as following.

STMS is configured as standalone system so first delete STMS configuration on PRD system

login into PRD system client 000. (delete STMS configuration if present.)

run stms -> it's ask for set up STMS -> click on other configurition (F6)

Target Host -> host name of domain controller ( host name of transport domain system)

System number -> Instance number of domain controller ( instance number of transport domain system)

Now,

Go to the Transport Domain Controller and accept the system.

Distribute the configuration changes.

configure transport route for two system.
