hi,
sap gurus,
good evening to all,
can i restrict a customer by giving a limited quantity.
with out creating QUANTITY CONTRACT.
suggest me standard configuration.
if std. configuration is available
Yes you can. Thats why there is what is called product allocation. You will find it under the availability check and TOR, Check it out.
What it normally does is it will not allow a customer mroe than the allotted qty to him in case of shortage.Situation ofcourse is used in bottleneck supplies. Classic example is cement.

hi balaji,
You can set delivery tolerance limit in customer master record.
Use the transation code VD01 and enter the customer no you want resrtict and in customer master record go to shipping tab there you will see Underdelivery tolerance limit and Overdelivery tolerance limit for delivery, maintain the values for under and over tolerance limit and save it.
It will work.

Hi,
I think directly there is no procedure available to limit the quantity to a specific customer in standard SAP. U can control this generally at upper limit to the condition type(value) or at dynamic credit control settings at maximum document value.
But u can reach ur requirement 100% by using coding, consult ur technical guy.
