Delivery split screen discription

Hi,

In IMG under the following path,sales and distribution>Sales>Scheduling agreements with delivery schedules-->Maintain Planning Delivery Sched. Instruct./Splitting Rules,we have different split rules like SD1,SD2 etc etc. In the same screen we have different columns like Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday etc wherin we have values for each rule.

Also there is a column with name "Holiday rule for delivery schedule split" and "Split quantity rounding".

Can anybody throw a light on the functionality of this screen in terms of business.

Split shares for weekdays Monday through Sunday control how the system splits weekly or monthly schedule lines in a forecast delivery schedule into daily schedule lines in the planning delivery schedule.

The procedure used for rounding quantities and holiday rule may influence the split.

If you do not enter any split shares, the system will not copy schedule lines to the planning delivery schedule.

The system:

Determines the split shares for the days of the relevant weekly or monthly schedule line

Calculates the sum of the split shares

Assigns the schedule line quantity from the forecast delivery schedule to the appropriate days in the planning delivery schedule

The system assigns this quantity to days according to the proportion of split shares to the sum of the split shares.
