Batch Management Activate on Existing Materials.

Hi,

At the time of SAP implementation Batch Management was activated for a list of items. Now we need to expand this list by adding more items, however, system is not allowing due to material movement exist for the additional items.

Solution is required to add the additional items to the Batch Management to control the expiry date.

SAP is certainly not complaining about existing movements. If you want to make materials batch managed, then you only have to make sure that you do not have stock in current and previous period.

Follow instructions of OSS note 30656 to clear the stock. Then make the material batch managed, then get the stock back in with batches.

Hi,

Set batch management by marking the batch management indicator in MM02. SAP will give error message > click on the appearing 'Display errors' button and eliminate the problems told you by SAP.
