Hi,

The estimated cost field on order header and fields on cost tab are closed for input once the order is released. It is not possible to change this via customizing or other settings.

There's no standard way..

But you can add the estimated cost field (header only) to user-exit IWO10018 (enhancement tab) and control it from there.

Estimation of Costs in Maintenance Orders

Estimated costs can be entered in the following ways:

1) As an overall total on the header data screen

2) Divided into value categories in the cost overview

The cost elements 692000 and 693000 are grouped under value category "Internal activities".

To enter the estimated costs broken down into the individual value categories, you must have grouped the cost elements for these value categories in the Customizing for the Project System.

Features

You can only specify estimated costs for the order until the order is released.

In contrast to planned and actual costs, estimated costs are not updated in the Plant Maintenance Information System (PM-IS).

Activities

After the estimated costs have been entered, the system sets the the status Costs estimated for the order.

It may help you

Dear Avi,

As posted by thiyagrajan, estimated cost can't be added once the order is released. Reason behind it is this that the person who is creating order can fill this cost upon his technical experience. So accordingly higher authority will come to know the approx. cost of the job planned in the order. After that if management feels that they can go ahead with cost, they they release the order for durther processing.

I hope this will clear your concept for estimated cost entry.

hi

You can only specify the estimated cost before the order is released.once the order is released you cannot specify the estimated amount.
