Dear All,

My system Specs is:

Processor: 2.4 C2D

RAM: 2 GB

I have Installed Solman 4.0 and ran the SGEN with all software components and now it is showing 28 hours remaining while 25% is completed. could anyone tell me... why the SGEN is running very slow.

One CPU and 2 GB is VERY VERY few memory. Imagine: You run

- a database instance (~ 1 GB memory)

- an ABAP instance (~ 1 GB memory)

- a Java instance (~ 2 GB memory)

The machine is mainly occupied with swapping (using 4 GB (or more) RAM) what is physically not available.

thanks Markus,

performance of any task always depend on system resources. The Ram is low in my system... that why i m facing this performance issue. SGEN is showing 50 hours in this time.
