Hi,

The use of both is two fold.

When you maintain data in these two fields in customer master, the data flows in your document processing.

1) If you have some pricing reuirement to offer special price to some customers, you can use these feilds to maintain master records.

2) you can use these for analysis purpose: what business was done to cuatomers in these class or group.

IT IS A GROUPING OF CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS LIKE DEALERS, RETAILERS, ETC.

THIS FIELD CAN BE COPIED INTO THE HEADER AS WELL AS ITEM LEVEL IN SALES DOCUMENT AND THIS FIELD IS USEFUL FOR CREATING CONDITION RECORDS FOR PRICING OR DISCOUNTS AND IT IS ALSO USEFUL FOR REPORTING PURPOSES.

CUSTOMER CLASSIFICATION

THIS FIELD IS BASED ON THE CLASSIFICATION OF CUSTOMER ACCORDING TO THE INDUSTRY OR ON THE BASIS OF HIS TURNOVER
