Hi,

I am too Curious to see the repository model in real time. can some one help me sending it some way Please!.

You can get the Business Content available at the Service market Place.

Here are the links to get the business content

MDM 5.5 SP06 - Business Content: Product (ZIP File) :

https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001119632007E

MDM 5.5 SP06 - Business Content: Article (ZIP File) :

https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001119642007E

MDM 5.5 SP06 - Business Content: Customer (ZIP File):

https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001119652007E

Similarly you can get all the business content available by following the link below:

https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/installmdm - Installation & Implementation Documentation Center ( MDM )

Go to the Installation section.

There will be a zip file which you can unzip and view the details. You can view the Field mapping and the Check table details in the Excel sheet present. These details can be created as Tables and Fields in MDM Repository.

Apart from this, when you install the MDM server, with the Business content folder you get some .A2A files which are nothing but the standard repository structures.

These files can be then put in the Archive Folder in the Server and can then be Unarchived to view the repository in Console. Hence, for viiewing a repository you require MDM installed, without which you cannot view Tables, Fields present in the A2A files present.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and Regards

Hi

A Data Model is always driven by Business Needs .In Some way or other, Real Data Model looks similar to the Business Content. Here I mean to say that the way the Fields is related to the Tables.

Take Customer Repository.

The Way Bank Details are related to the Company Code and Reconciliation Account is the same.Similarly for Sales Data. But since in a Project, the actual Business requirement is different, so you need some extra fields or you may not need some fields .These things need to be addressed in the repository.

Remember that till SAP MDM 5.5 SP06, you can create one Main table and various sub tables.

In SAP MDM 7.1, you can create more than one main table and various sub tables with respective to the Main Table.

You go through the link below. It details what has to be done and what not to be done while Data Modeling.

Hi,

Practically it may not be possible to send you the real time data model.

But the way to design the same is shared in the following link.
