Material and Customer needs to be extended to other sales org

Hi...

How do I extended Material and Customer from one sales org to another.

Hi,

For Material, use Tcode -MM01(Sales org view),

enter new sales org & proceed.

For Customer -XD01(use Ref. customer) & create for new sales org).

Hi,

go to MM01. enter ur material, which is already created.enter Industry type and material type.then click on ORGANIZATIONAL VIEWS tab.there, u change ur desired sales organization.press enter.then u will get a message like MATERIAL IS ALREADY CREATED AND EXTENDED..then, ur material is extended..

Hi anil,

for Extending material: Go to MM01 :

Enter material number , click on views select the views in which you want to extend the material, Select organizational level and in this way yuou can extend material.

For Customer : Go to XD01, and give the customer number and the area where you want to extend your customer.

For Material

Go to MM01, input the existing material, material type and maintain the same material code under the tab [Copy from] and click on views. There select the three sales views and click on Orgnisational levels so that you can see two boxes. The left tab would be Organizational levels and on the right side Copy from.

Extend the material to the new plant / Sales organisation by entering the datas on left side and press Enter. Now you can see a message at the bottom screen Material already exists and will be extended.

For Customer

Select the Account Group, input Company Code and Sales Area to which you want to extend. Similarly at the bottom under the tab [Reference] maintain the same customer code, company code and sales area under which already the customer exists and enter. Maintain the datas only wherever the system takes you and save.

Thank you...done...but please do tell me how to go about doing it for 25 sales org at a strech apart from using LSMW

Dear Anil

For material you can extend via T.Code MM50. Go to MM50, input the following

- V in Maintenance status

- Plant

- Sales Organisation

- Distribution Channel

and below the screen, click on [OR operation] under Selection logic and execute. Now you can see the material list. Select those and click on Reference/organisation on top right and execute. A small box will appear where you have to enter the existing datas and execute.

The said materials will now be extended in one stroke. But for customer, not sure, whether any standard T.Code is available. The other option is either LSMW or BDC through which you can extend the master.

You can use transaction MASS to extend customers or materials to additional organizational units. Here is the step-by-step for customer master. Material master is similar with a different Object Type and tables selected.

Execute transaction MASS for object KNA1.

Select tables KNB1 and KNVV

Check u201CDo Not Change Existing Datau201D

Select the u201CData Records to be Createdu201D tab

In the top half, enter the organizational unit(s) to which the records will be extended. In the bottom half, enter the organizational unit(s) to use as the reference when extending. Note that the boxes in the top half can be multi-select.

Click Execute and then Save

If you want to set this up as a background job so the master data is automatically extended when the user creats it, you can do the following before executing/saving above:

Save this as a variant.

At the first screen of transaction MASS, go to Mass Maintenance  Background Processing

Enter object type KNA1 and the name of the variant you just created.

Save a variant of this screen (yes a variant of the first variant name)

Schedule a background job using SM36. When defining the Step, select the ABAP program MASSBACK and select the second variant you created.

Hi anil,

u can extend the customer by XD01, by putting the existing data of the customer in the reference field , simillarly u can extend the material with ref field and entering the organizational data.

Hi,

For MAterial: Use MM01

enter material number (already existing)

enter: select the views to be extended, follow same cycle like you create material for first time

For CustomerL Use XD01 or VD01

enter customer number & account group

enter your sales area

rest same like you create customer for first time

Additionally, both in material & customer you can enter feilds for reference if you want to copy same data.
