Can u please give me some idea in designing a file to mail adapter scenario.I mean how to start with the design part...as also in configuration part.

Integration Repository part of File to Mail scenario is very much similar to a File to File scenario.
You need to create 2 data types (1 for sender & 1 for receiver), 2 message types, 2 message interfaces (1 outbound & 1 inbound), 1 message mapping and 1 interface mapping.
Integration Directory part is also similar like File to File scenario except the receiver communication channel.
Select the Adapter type as Mail and mention the exact URL of the mail server and user authentication (username and password).
