Hi!
I have one question about Change Request Management.
When we implement Change Request Management, we have
Maintenance proejct --> IMG Project "ChaRM_DEV".
It means all the transport requests assigned to this project run through Change Request Management scenario in SAP Solution Manager.
What will happen with other new transport requests, IMG projects that are outside from IMG Project "ChaRM_DEV". Can the developers and tester continue to work with these wiithout to be involved in Change Request Management scenario?
Any helpful information will be very appreciated!
Hi Holger.
In Solution Manager you got one or more SMI projects (tx: solar_project_admin).
To use ChaRM functionality you have to create an IMG project/CTS project. You usually do this from within your SMI project. (project administration solar_project_admin)
After that you have to "activate Change Request Management" for this SMI project which is also done from within the SMI project view (tab: change requests)
And beside creating a task list and maintenance cycle the above mentioned is the minimum you have to do to get ChaRM functionality.
So if you do not activate ChaRM for other projects those will not be affected.
You may continue to work with transport requests created outside of ChaRM like you used to do.
You can use ChaRM and "regular" TMS in parallel.
/cheers

Hi Christian,
many thanks for your response!
Could you please answer the following questions:
- What will happen with old transport requests creating before ChaRM?
- Is it possible to get an automatic transport workflow of urgent corrections and corrections (e.g. automatic transport all the corrections at 17 o'clock daily)
- Could the open correction be switched to urgent correction dynamically at the runtime?
Thank you again!
Hi Holger!
thank you again.
To automatic scheduling of urgent corrections:
What is about the report report /TMWFLOW/SCMA_BTCH_SYNC_UC.
