Hi
I am planning to configure Alert management (ALM) for CCMS .Can anyone help me with the steps involved? I have gone through few posts in forums but its all abt configuring it in XI.I am thinking of solution manager as the Central ALM server. Is solution manager have any feature similar to Alert management so that I can use that instead of ALM?

Is solution manager has same features as ALM
Solman(solution manager) is used for project designing,it provides some inbuild Road-maps for project development as well as has functionality to develop your own,you can have naming conventions,various development standards,planning and management done in Solman.

What is alert managment ?
Actually i too had posted the same question a couple of days back ......Actually the purpose of ALERT -MANAGEMENT ie(ALM) comes in to picture when bussiness-critical problems occur. within ALM.
Alert mangement helps prevent delays in the processing of critical situations .
Alert management is the ideal solution if you can identify specific bussiness or technical sitution that are critical and could jeopardize efficent operation and you want specific parties to be informed if this situations Arise .
this is just an defination and purpose of the Alert mangement if u want some detail information just goto

Hi
I am trying to configure CCMS central auto reaction, CCMS_OnAlert_Email. Assigned central auto reaction for an MTE class (5 min Load balance) in RZ21 --> Technical Infrastructure --> Assign Central Auto reaction. Then the system showed a message like Central system tool dispatching is active; job: SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER, user: xxx, client: 100. I checked SM37 and i couldnt see this job ( finished, active or released or scheduled).
Load Average of remote system is 15 and it shows as red in the central system. But I am not getting any alerts (emails).I checked SCOT and everything is fine.
Is there anything that I am missing here?
