Hi all,
I have a scenario where i have to extract sender data with semicolon delimiter. ( eg data is in this format xxx;w,sd;).
I heard that this can be done by using file content conversion.Can anyone give me in detail how this can be acheived?
Thanks,
Siva.
Dear Siva,
You can give the values as given below.
<node>.fieldSeparator : ,
<node>.endSeparator: nl
<node>.filedNames: xxx,w,sd

Hi,
Sender File adapter change the message protocol to "File Content Conversion".
In the content conversion parameter give your Record set name.
Like if you have a structure,
<Source>
<x>
<y>
Give the Document Name and Name space.
Document Name and Name space is your message type name,namespace.
Then your Recordset structure :Source,*
Source.fieldNames ,y
Source.fieldSeparator: ;
Source.endSeparator: 'nl'

Assume your Datatype as
Record (1-unbounded)
|_Row (1-unbounded)
|_field1
field2
Then
Recordset Name = Record
Recordset Structure=Row,*
in Advanced mode
Row.fieldNames=field1,field2
Record.fieldSeparator='nl'
Record.endSeparator='nl'
Row.fieldSeparator=;
Row.endSeparator='nl'
For this dont include fieldFixedLengths here bcos the purpose of fieldFixedLengths is different to that of fieldSeparator.

Hi,
The easiest way we have used in our project is additional module provided by SAP, this has to be used in FTP sender communication channel. The module name is MessageTransformBean.
If required i will send a document on this.

Hi,
Through FCC we can do, follow below steps
1. configure source and target structures according to your requirement
2. Write below statement at source and target adapters.
source.fieldNames xxxx,xxxx
source.fieldFixedLengths x,x,
source.fieldSeparator ';'
source.endSeparator nl
ignoreRecordsetName 'true'
target.fieldseparator 'which separator u want write here'
target.endseparator 'nl'
ignoreRecordsetName 'true'
I hope now clear
