sp 10 to 15

Hi,

We are upgrading our SI system from SP 10 to SP 15. Any particular points to be considered for this? I have gone through many threads on SP upgrades so plz don't provide link unless that is specific to SP 10 TO SP 15.

Any one has gone through the same upgrade? plz give some inputs on this.

To add..we are using PI 7.0 - 04s and not XI 3.0.

SP15 have so many features like multi mapping etc functions and main advantages is XML validations.

SAP XI 3.0 SP15

The first phase of nine (9) iWay Adapters for NetWeaver 04 - XI 3.0 SP15 was released on Jan 13, 2006 following SAP's Release of NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure SP15.

The SP15 Phase 1 adapters were released for XI running on the Windows operating system platform, and 4 UNIX operating sytem platforms; AIX, HP-UX11, Linux, and Solaris.

iWay Adapters for XI, Release SP15 Phase 1 includes 9 SAP XI adapters for: AS2, CICS, Corba, HL7, IMS/TM, Oracle Applications, Siebel, SWIFT, and Tibco.

The Phase 2 set of iWay Adapters for NetWeaver 04 - XI 3.0 SP15 was released on Friday, January 20, 2006.

The SP15 Phase 2 adapters include; AS1, Baan, JD Edwards OneWorld, JD Edwards World, PeopleSoft, QAD/MFGPro, TN3270, TN5250, Transora, and UCCNet.

All 19 SP15 versions of the iWay Adapters for NetWeaver XI suite have been released for use with SAP NetWeaver4, X.I 3.0 on 5 Operating System platforms; MS Windows, AIX, HPUX11, Linux, and Solaris. See the iWay Adapters for NetWeaver XI PAM for details on supported platforms.

These versions of the iWay adapters for SAP NetWeaver XI have been fully tested for SP15 compatibility, and also for new iWay adapter functionality in the AS2, SWIFT, and HL7 adapters.

Note that internal labeling in the SP15 adapter components is as follows. The .sda files are each identified internally to XI and shown on SAP SDM screens as version SP15.1029. The corresponding Adapter Metadata version number (displayed in the "Type" field visible from the XI Integration Builder:Config tool) is also displayed as SP15 1029.

New in iWay XI Adapters - SP15

The SP15 Release of iWay XI Adapters includes;

1) iWay XI Adapter Framework and individual adapter general fixes which were corrected since the last XI Adapter Release, SP14-Phase 2 of November 23, 2005,

2) iWay Software designed & customer requested adapter enhancements,

• SWIFT - Improved handling of batched SWIFT messsages

• AS2 - Further improvements for MDN correlation monitoring

3) iWay Software New Features;

• HL7 - adding TimeStamp in filename for File transport protocol

4) Other notes:

• AIX - In first-time AS1 or AS2 adapter installation on AIX, the IBM JVM for AIX must be patched per SAP Note 716927.
