Hello,
I want to know if there is an automated way to periodically send the database backup logs (those shown in DB13) to an e-mail.
Does anybody know how to do this?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.
Thanks! The note 746193 was very helpful.

Hello,
I am not sure if your admin would want to recieve the logs irrespective if the backup was successfull or not, because the log can be huge one at times.
Also,
Its better to have the status emailed instead of entire log files.
so for example if the backup log has some warnings, then a yellow alert is sent.
or if it has failed a RED alert is sent.
The administrator can then investigate the cause of yellow and green alerts.
Check the following note:
SAP Note Number: 746193 - RZ20: Generating all-clears ("green alerts")

Siddhesh

I am sure that the actual "backing up" process is done via a batch job, which means you can just modify it and append an additional step to the end to send you an email.
