source directory of file adapter

Hi.

I want to use windows share directory as source directory of sender files adapter.

So we need set the path UNC name.

for example.

<hostname>\d:\sourcedirectoy

Does this setting is supported?

And are there any problem?

This is not supported

But you can achieve this by doing FTP from the sender channel.

For FTP you have to mention all the FTP parameters in the sender Channel.

XI follows Java convention for this.

Expose the Windows directory as an FTP server.

hi,

for XI, just try

//<xi server>/<any share folder u have access to>

and make sure u placed the source file over there.

for PI server, u have to use ftp access for the server.
