SoD for Non-SAP systems

Hi,

i understand that one of the selling points of SAP GRC Access Control is the ability to perform SoD across non-sap systems.

The question I have is , does the user need to first have a SAP ID in R3 inorder to perform SoD for a non-SAP system ?

In other words, can a user perform SoD using Access Control on a non-SAP system without the need for an R/3 ID ?

Thanks

Hello,

Regarding your question, in fact this is dependant on how your UME (User Management Engine) is configured on your WAS (Web Application Server). If the UME is connected to your R/3 back-end then the user need to have a R/3 account to connect to CC, otherwise if your UME is "independant" then you just need to create an account in the UME.

Regards,

Jérôme.
